If your sink is fine from a plumbing standpoint, but you are concerned about the unpleasant smell, it can be solved without much difficulty.

Some tricks help to achieve very impressive results with minimal effort and cost.

What options for solving the problem should be considered in more detail?

Citric acid

This inexpensive and high-quality product helps eliminate the unpleasant odor caused by food residues from the very first use.

Take a regular small packet of the product and insert it into the drain. Then add half a glass of hot water. After an hour, rinse with a liter of hot water.

Soda and vinegar

This method can even help with small blockages, which is also very useful. First, pour a couple of spoons of soda into the drain, and then immediately pour in 200 ml of vinegar.

A chemical reaction will begin almost immediately, so the drain is covered with a piece of old cloth.

After 60 minutes, pour in a kettle of boiling water and evaluate the result.

Salt with soda

This method can even be used to prevent the appearance of unpleasant odors, since it does not harm plumbing.

Both components are taken in a 50/50 ratio and sent to the drain.

Add some hot water. Wait 30 minutes and rinse the drain with 4 cups of hot water.
