Many housewives face a situation when their favorite towels become as hard as oak bark.

But thrifty housewives never rush to throw away such products. First, they try to "reanimate" them with folk remedies.

Housewives have several methods at their disposal that will help restore towels to their original appearance.

Conditioner for washing

Place the towels in a basin, pour in 250 ml of conditioner, and then add enough water to completely cover the items. Soak the towels for 60 minutes, and then wash the items in the machine.

Vinegar

Vinegar is added to the rinse cycle of the washing machine instead of fabric softener.

But in this case, two rinse cycles are started: the first with vinegar instead of conditioner, the second with water or with the addition of any mild detergent.

Soda

The product is mixed with powder. Add 60 g of soda per wash. This kitchen product helps to get rid of grease and dirt, which are often the cause of stiffness.

But the benefits of soda are not limited to this. The product removes the musty smell that sometimes appears during long-term storage of textiles.

Salt

This option is considered one of the most popular. In this case, washing powder is mixed with salt - 3 tbsp. per wash.

When washing by hand, add salt during rinsing. Use 1 tbsp of product per 1 liter of water. Both kitchen and sea salt are suitable.
