The main rule is not to expose banknotes to high temperatures, direct sunlight and high humidity.
The air temperature in the room where the money is stored should be no lower than 10 and no higher than 30 degrees, humidity – 30-60%.
It is strictly forbidden to smooth out wrinkled banknotes with an iron, as this can destroy machine-readable characters.
It is best to store cash in vacuum packaging. You can also use a plastic container or a glass jar with a plastic lid.
They cannot be stored in books, as traces of printing ink may remain on the banknotes.
