Many people have known about a simple prohibition since childhood: it is not customary to leave cutlery in prepared food.

This rule especially applies to soups, which can be stored for several days in the refrigerator, but spoil extremely quickly due to spoons.
For the same reason, you should not leave a ladle in a container with soup.
