During the warm season, insects often appear in the apartment, flying in through the open window.

We are talking about midges, flies, mosquitoes. Of course, the greatest difficulties are caused by blood-sucking pests.

To combat mosquitoes, you can use various aerosols and plates impregnated with insecticides.

But why use all sorts of “chemicals” and even overpay if you can use safer and cheaper products?

How to Turn a Plastic Bottle into a Mosquito Trap

You can make an effective remedy against blood-sucking insects from the most ordinary plastic containers.

First, you need to cut off the top of the bottle. This "funnel" should be put aside for now.

In the second part of the container, add granulated sugar (2 tbsp.) and dry yeast (1/4 tsp.). The resulting mixture should be filled with water.

Next, you need to place the previously cut off part of the bottle into the plastic cup with all its contents. Moreover, the “funnel” should be placed upside down.

How the trap will work

It is known that mosquitoes are attracted to warm carbon dioxide, which is released when a person breathes.

And this process can be simulated using yeast and sugar.

"Deceived" insects will fly into the trap. However, they will hardly be able to get out of it.

The contents of the bottle will need to be renewed once a week.
