Experienced housewives have learned from their own experience what to pay attention to first when buying eggs.
It turns out that there are several rather serious nuances that deserve the attention of everyone who regularly buys this product.
First of all, the shelf life. Thus, at a temperature of 0 to +20 °C, the product remains suitable for up to 25 days. And at a temperature of 0 to -2 °C, freshness is preserved for up to 90 days. The shelf life of washed eggs is limited to 12 days.
Experienced housewives do not recommend storing eggs in the refrigerator next to products that have a strong smell. A classic example is fish. It turns out that subsequently, eggs and dishes made from them will acquire a light, but not the most pleasant aroma.
The tray should be opened not only to check the integrity of the purchased goods. It is also worth paying attention to the size of the eggs. Sometimes they differ. And this indicates that the savvy buyers cheated: they exchanged cheap eggs for expensive ones.
It is easy to understand that the eggs have been replaced. At poultry farms, they are placed with the sharp side down and the round edge up. If some eggs are the other way around, then there is most likely a possibility of replacement.
