Folk methods to deal with rust: the plaque will come off and there will be no trace left

Metal elements need to be protected from rust, even those that are inside the house and not outdoors.

Metal shelves and other accessories look impressive in the bathroom, but due to constant high humidity they become covered with a reddish coating. It is difficult to deal with it.

Periodically, you have to clean the shelves with powders or liquids, which takes time and effort.

1. Onion

You need to take an onion, cut it in half and rub it on the places where the reddish coating has appeared, and then wipe the surface with a damp sponge.

2. Potatoes

You can do roughly the same thing with raw potatoes. Cut the root vegetable, sprinkle it with baking soda and rub the rusty areas with it.

3. Ketchup

You can also use store-bought ketchup from edibles. It contains oxalic and citric acid. Ketchup can be used to clean sinks, bathtubs, and other rusty surfaces.

4. Fish oil

Fish oil does a good job of this task. But it needs to be applied to the surface and left for 2-3 hours, then the plaque should be cleaned with a brush and the surface polished with a microfiber cloth.

5. Soap and soda

You need to grate laundry soap, mix it with soda ash 1:1, treat the stains and leave for 2 hours, then rinse with warm water.
