How to Eliminate Unpleasant Odor and Cruelty from Towels: 2 Washing Options

If your towels have a slight unpleasant smell, the problem lies in the accumulated soap residue.

Some housewives resort to boiling in such cases, but this method is not considered the most effective. There are two more reliable methods.

The first way

1. Temperature mode 40 degrees. Rinsing and spinning are switched off.

2. Housewives advise using washing gel.

3. Next, wait until the water heats up. After that, pour 1 glass of vinegar into the tray.

4. After washing is complete, start a new mode. This time, use soda instead of powder. Start a full cycle with rinsing at 40-50 degrees.

5. Set the spin to 800 rpm – no higher.

6. Do not use fabric softener. Housewives advise using 70-100 ml of vinegar and 7-10 drops of any essential oil instead.

The second way

This option is suitable for those who do not want to use soda and vinegar in the washing machine.

1. The towel is thoroughly moistened with water and rubbed with laundry soap. Then it is left to lie like this for at least an hour.

2. Pour hot water into a basin. You can even use boiling water. Add 1 tbsp of citric acid to each liter of water.

3. Carefully dip the towel into the resulting solution. Leave until the water cools. Then rinse the towel and let it dry.
