A blanket is such a thing that even if no one eats anything in bed, it is impossible to avoid stains.
Washing such things is not such a simple undertaking and you can’t do without practical skills. We will tell you how to wash various blankets with different fillings.
In the washing machine
The difficulty is that not every machine can fit a full-size blanket from a large double bed. In addition, you need to choose the right mode. This can be hand or delicate washing. But the main condition is the maximum loading capacity. It should not be less than 7 kilograms.
Water temperature no higher than 40 degrees, spin at maximum 700 rpm.
Wadded blanket
Neither hand washing nor machine washing will help here. The cotton wool will clump in water, so we head straight to the dry cleaner.
Down blanket
The "hand wash" mode is suitable for the washing machine. The water temperature is no more than 30 degrees, and instead of powder - gel or other liquid products. Such a blanket should be rinsed at least 3 times.
You can use a stain remover, locally, and after 10-15 minutes rinse the material under running cool water. If it is not a cotton or down blanket, it can be washed in the machine.
Drying
This is no less important process. Sintepon and holofiber can be hung and dried vertically. All other materials and fillers are dried horizontally, using dryers, etc.
