Having barely vacuumed the entire apartment, many people notice that in one corner or another there is still a clump of dust, and it is completely impossible to walk barefoot on the carpet.
In this case, the first thing they do is start blaming the household appliances, without thinking about the primitive mistakes that reduce their efficiency.
1. The power of any vacuum cleaner decreases over time if you do not clean the filters. In many models, the manufacturer installs replaceable filters. Therefore, the bag can be empty, but the cleaning result is still poor.
2. Speed does not speed up the process. The faster you move the brush over the carpet pile or the floor, the less dust will settle in the bag. To avoid spreading dirt and dust throughout the house, move smoothly and slowly.
3. It is believed that the most effective option is when the brush moves not in a straight line, but in a zigzag.
4. Special attention should be paid to the nozzle and brushes - they also need to be cleaned during the cleaning process, otherwise hair, threads and clumps of dust stuck to the brush along with pet hair can worsen the draft by getting stuck in the hose or tube.
5. And one more important point. Vacuuming should be done after dust has been wiped off, but before wet cleaning. And it is advisable to vacuum the carpet first, then remove and lay it out after the room has been tidied up.
