Grease stains, spilled tea or a “gift” from a pet turn a fabric sofa into a pitiful sight.
Some people think that it is impossible to restore furniture to its original cleanliness without a steam cleaner.
In fact, the problem can be fixed. There are several ways to do this. The choice depends on the type of stains and their "age".
1. Grease stains must be removed immediately. To do this, sprinkle the problem area with salt or starch and then wash.
2. Greasy areas will be removed with a soap solution. After application and washing, wipe the area with a damp cloth.
3. Ice will help remove dried gum. Just apply an ice pack for 10 minutes.
4. Marker marks can be removed with a mixture of baking soda and lemon juice (1:1). Apply the product to the surface with a toothbrush and leave for 10-15 minutes. Remove the mixture with a damp sponge or napkins.
5. Vinegar will remove the smell of cat urine. Soak a cloth or cotton pad in the liquid and wipe the foul-smelling area. Vinegar also has a specific smell, but it will quickly disappear.
