White things darken over time, acquire a grayish tint and begin to look worn and old.

This happens quite quickly. The thing does not even have time to wear out, as there is no trace left of the original whiteness.

This is especially relevant for owners of white socks. The problem can be solved with a penny solution that can be prepared in a minute.

For light pollution

If the socks are not very worn, hydrogen peroxide will help to restore their whiteness. For each liter of water, take 1 tbsp. of the product.

The socks are left in the liquid overnight and washed in the morning. The dirt will come off easily, no need to rub anything.

For difficult stains

If your socks are worn out or there are stains that cannot be removed with peroxide, you should use oxygen bleach.

It does not contain chlorine, does not destroy fabric fibers and bleaches only thanks to active oxygen.

Bleaches are sold in powder form. They are also diluted in water and socks are soaked in the resulting liquid. 5 g of bleach is used for each liter. Soak for at least 2 hours, and then wash the items.
