Most flower pots end up on windowsills, and few people think about whether they like it there or not.

As it turns out, there are some that have no business being on that very windowsill at all. They wither, fade, or survive there, instead of blooming and pleasing the eye.

Of the most popular cultures, there are 7 of them. Let's talk about them.

1. Indoor rose

It likes the sun, but not the dry air that rises from a hot radiator during the heating season. In winter, it should be hidden away from heating devices and drafts. It may be necessary to provide additional lighting with a phytolamp.

2. Citrus fruits

Tropical plants cannot feel normal in a room with dry air. On one side they will be looked after by a hot radiator, on the other by a cool window blown by drafts. Just like the rose, we hide it for the winter, but do not forget to water it periodically.

3. Azalea

Who would have thought that this plant, which blooms in winter, chronically does not tolerate proximity to heating devices. Normal humidity for it is at least 70%.

4. Gardenia

It blooms beautifully, smells nice, but only in a warm and humid climate. It is better to put it away for the winter on a glazed and insulated balcony if the air temperature there fluctuates around 16 degrees Celsius. It loves light.

5. Chlorophytum

It is often called a home oxygen factory. It adapts well to kitchen conditions, but due to its tropical origins, it does not like a dry climate.

6. Coffee tree

He is a big fan of humidified air. In winter we put him away from the radiator, otherwise the leaves will start to dry out. He also likes fresh air, but not drafts.

7. Dracaena

It is also better to put it away from the window and heating device for the winter. Do not forget to spray it with water periodically or consider buying a humidifier.
