Summer residents who return to their plot in the spring after a long absence often encounter a rusty lock.

Many owners quickly lose patience and simply remove the piece of metal with a grinder.

But it often happens that the necessary tool is behind a locked door. It is better to use a radical measure at the end, when nothing has helped.

First of all, they try to heat the lock. It is possible that the problem is simply that ice has accumulated inside.

Diesel or oil

If the problem is still in rust, then move on to folk remedies. Take some diesel fuel and treat the lock mechanism. Instead of diesel, you can take some brake fluid, which works even better than diesel.

Solidol

A neat way to open a lock that is completely covered in rust. Apply grease to the inside of the keyhole. Also lubricate the areas where the lock shackle connects to the body.

For the solidol to work properly, you need to wait a few hours. After that, the padlock should open without difficulty.

Aerosol liquid

The mechanism will move from the dead point if it is treated with an aerosol liquid (WD-40). But after applying it, you need to wait a few hours.

If the first time does not help, then process it a second time and additionally carefully tap the lock with a hammer.
