Almost every home has several old towels that have lost their fluffiness and softness over time.
There is no need to throw them away; it is possible to restore the former softness of textiles using simple techniques and rules.
In many homes, tap water is of poor quality, and impurities in the water make fabrics stiff. Some housewives ignore this point, as a result, over time, things lose their attractiveness.
Not all towels can be washed with washing powder. Some fabrics need to be washed only with gel, since the powder is not washed out of the fabric and settles on the terry fibers.
If you use powder, you should not forget about additional rinsing and wash at a speed of no more than 800.
Leave the towels that have become stiff in cold water for 5-7 hours, then rinse and hang to dry. This trick will help get rid of the remaining powder.
You can also soak old towels in a salt solution at a rate of 3 tbsp. per 5 liters of water for 30 minutes. After this procedure, the towels are washed in the usual way.
