Snakes won't rule the cellar: this is what will scare away uninvited "guests"

Experienced summer residents have named folk methods that help in the fight against the dominance of reptiles.

Grass snakes are not poisonous, but their presence in the cellar is unlikely to please the owners.

To avoid having to fight with uninvited “guests”, you need to create unfavorable conditions for them.

For example, snakes are attracted to thick and tall grass on the site. To deprive them of natural shelter, you need to mow the greenery regularly.

Damp piles of grass and branches are also an ideal haven for snakes. Therefore, before driving them out of the cellar, you need to tidy up the area. Otherwise, they will move from there to secluded places on the surface.

Grass snakes do not like the smell of dry mustard. The sense of smell plays a big role for snakes, so they will definitely smell the unpleasant aroma. You just need to sprinkle mustard on the floor.

If this remedy does not help, then you can use a more radical method. Mix kerosene with water in a ratio of 2:1.

Uninvited "guests" will smell the unpleasant odor and crawl away. But it is important to remember about fire safety, because kerosene will remain flammable even after mixing with water.
