Belarusian-Chinese refrigerators and airplanes to be produced in Baranovichi
The city of Baranovichi seems to be about to reach a new industrial level.
The regional center is expected to produce Osvey aircraft and Belarusian-Chinese refrigerators.
The Governor of the Brest Region, Petr Parkhomchik, informed the general public about this on the ONT TV channel.
According to his data, today the share of the region’s industry is 11% of the republic’s total.
I see a good segment – aviation, – Parkhomchik informed.
He specified: the 558th aircraft repair plant, located in Baranovichi, will produce the first prototypes of the Osvey aircraft as early as 2026.
This is a 19-seat aircraft with various purposes. The goal is to produce the first prototypes and take off in 2026, - said the governor.
And also in Baranovichi they will produce Belarusian-Chinese refrigerators. This will be done by the local plant of automatic lines.
According to the official, negotiations with partners from China were successful, and it is expected that production will be launched at the enterprise in 2025.
Initially, the production of 5,000 refrigerators is expected, but by the end of the year, up to 10,000 units are predicted, Parkhomchik noted.
Then it is planned to reach the design capacity of 1 million refrigerators.
This will be a little more than 1 billion dollars, and, of course, this will be an addition from industry to the general state pie, the head of the region summed up.
