Alfred Blaschke from Texas, USA, has been included in the Guinness Book of Records for the second time.

At the age of 106, he became the oldest parachutist in the world.

Alfred was born in 1917 and made his first parachute jump on his 100th birthday in 2017.

In 2020, he set his first record by taking to the skies and reaching a height of over 4,000 meters at the age of 103.

This is how Blaschke decided to celebrate a significant event for his family: the college graduation of his twin grandsons.

Alfred's record stood until 2022.

Then 104-year-old Dorothy Hoffner decided to jump. Even the fact that the woman used a walker on the ground didn’t stop her.

Unfortunately, Dorothy did not live to see her achievement officially confirmed.

Eight days later she passed away in a nursing home, death taking her in her sleep.

Alfred Blaschke has decided to break Dorothy's record in November 2023.

By the way, Texas Governor Greg Abbott took to the skies with Alfred.

They jumped from a height of more than 2,500 meters, and below, their jump was watched by Alfred's children and grandchildren, as well as numerous journalists and officials.

After landing, Alfred shared his thoughts with the press. "If you think you can't do something, you're underestimating yourself. Sometimes you just have to take the plunge and try," the man said.
