On September 13, 2008, a sporting event took place in Sweden that attracted the attention of the Guinness Book of Records.
We are talking about mass skiing: more than 1 thousand people took part in it.
It would seem that this is a standard event for a Scandinavian country and not at all a record-breaking one (judging by the number of participants)…
But there is one interesting point: it turns out that all people used only one pair of skis. And at the same time.
True, the equipment was non-standard. The skis turned out to be very long.
Their length was 534 meters.
1043 people were able to stand on these skis at the same time.
They even managed to ride on such ski equipment.
Of course, the record was set. The devices received the status of "the longest skis in the world."
The inventory has held this “title” for 16 years now. After all, the achievement was recorded and entered into the Guinness Book of Records in the fall of 2008.
