How much did the heaviest apple weigh?

The fruit was weighed shortly after it was picked from the tree.

And it happened on October 24, 2005, on one of the farms in the Japanese prefecture of Aomori.

It turned out that the record-breaking fruit weighs... 1849 grams.

Thus, a handle could be attached to the apple and it could be used as a piece of sports equipment for strength exercises.

The fruit could well act as a “light” weight.

Of course, the compilers of the Guinness Book of Records included information about the heaviest apple in the reference book.

The name of the man who managed to grow the record-breaking fruit is also mentioned. The farmer's name is Hisato Iwasaki.
