How many pull-ups did a Japanese man have to do in 24 hours to become a record holder among men: not one thousand

In April this year, Kenta Adachi of Japan set a world record for the most pull-ups in 24 hours for a man.

According to the official website of the Guinness Book of Records, the man managed to do almost 9,000 pull-ups (8,940 repetitions, to be precise).

The Japanese man's 300 pull-ups exceed the previous record, which belongs to Australian Gary Lloyd.

According to the "newly minted" record holder, he has not been involved in sports for most of his life.

In 2007, a Japanese man started working in the Japanese Coast Guard and had to pass a sports test.

Unfortunately (or fortunately) for him, Kent failed the pull-up stage.

Since then, he has worked hard to improve his skills and in 2022, he set a record for the most pull-ups in a row, completing 651 reps.

And finally, after this, Adachi became interested in a new achievement. For two years, the Japanese did 100-200 pull-ups every two days, and in December 2023, he began training for a 24-hour attempt.

On his way he faced many difficulties - pain, drowsiness, blisters and other things, but nothing could break the man's willpower. All this time Adachi was supported by his wife.
