In some cases, boredom served as a kind of motive to create something new and interesting. But this is more about the way of spending time.
As for work as a type of activity, there are only functional duties and nothing else. But work can also be boring.
One day, thinking, employees of the University of Essex conducted research and found out what kind of work is considered the most boring, and at the same time named the most boring hobby in the world.
This required studying the habits of 500 people from five countries.
The results of the study were published in the journal Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin.
TOP 5 boring professions
As they say, nothing personal – just facts. The following were selected for the title of the most boring professions in the world:
- data analysis;
- accounting;
- taxes and/or insurance;
- cleaning;
- banking.
TOP 5 Most Boring Hobbies
It is difficult to imagine what the scientists had to choose from, but the least interesting hobby for the experts was:
- dream;
- religion;
- watching TV;
- observation of animal behavior;
- mathematics.
However, people who are deeply involved in their work can rightfully consider their work not boring, but quite the opposite.
