Alexander Lukashenko addressed the Belarusian motorized riflemen.
The President congratulated veterans and servicemen of mechanized formations and military units of the country's Armed Forces on Motorized Riflemen's Day.
Speaking about the fact that over the centuries “the names, tactics and weapons of the oldest troops in human history have changed,” he drew attention to what remained unchanged.

The infantry soldiers covered themselves with unfading glory during the Great Patriotic War, the head of state’s press service quotes the message as saying.
Lukashenko emphasizes: the country remembers the courage of the soldiers in the summer days of 1941, their heroic struggle in the summer of 1944, when the occupiers were driven out of Belarus.
At present, the congratulations say, mechanized units are the pride of the national army.
According to the Belarusian leader, they are also “the most important factor of strategic deterrence.”
He expressed confidence that “mobile, well-trained and equipped motorized rifle units are capable of solving any training and combat missions to ensure the military security” of the country.
The President thanked the motorized riflemen for their service and wished them health, happiness, family well-being and new successes in their service.
