Not all people who decide to get a kitten are ready for surprises. Some would like to be guaranteed to get a friendly pet.

Such requirements for a future pet seem especially justified for families with small children or other dependents.

That's why we decided to put together a selection of the most affectionate cat breeds for you. Their friendliness is the result of the interaction of genetics, selection and other factors.

Ragdoll

Ragdoll is translated from English as a rag doll. And indeed, these cats relax so much when in the hands of their owner that they resemble real rag dolls.

Other distinctive features include long hair and original coloring.

Ragdolls are surprisingly calm, affectionate and patient in nature. They even look a bit like dogs, as they run around the house after their owner, cuddle and constantly seek physical contact.

Siamese cat

Sociable Siamese cats often "talk" to their owners. They simply adore being around people, but from all the household they choose only one favorite.

In addition to the fact that these purring creatures love communication, they are also distinguished by their intelligence, curiosity and ability to quickly become attached to people.

Birman cat

The Burmese cat is easy to recognize by its calm and affectionate nature. These animals will be happy with your company, but will not impose themselves, and Burmese also get along with children and other "living creatures".

Cats react calmly to the pranks of children and other pets and in case of conflict do not show aggression, but prefer to hide in a secluded place and wait until the situation improves.

Scottish Fold Cat

Kind and devoted Scots are crazy about all members of their family – even children. They cannot stand loneliness and are ready to put up with the presence of other pets.

However, if you want to cuddle with your furry friend every now and then, you should take a closer look at another breed - this behavior is not typical for Scottish Folds.
