This is how all cats behave, without exception, who have had to live in a cold climate. Despite their long and thick fur, the cat sometimes lacks the energy to warm up.
Thirdly, comfort
Cats love comfort, and pets are also lazy. Therefore, they will not choose for long between sleeping on the floor, a hard bed or in the owner's soft bed.

And domestic cats are constantly on guard. Even with their owner by their side, they cannot completely relax. They intuitively look for the safest place in the house.
