How a dog says "thank you" to its owner: pay attention to the pet's tail

Dogs, as we know, cannot talk. Therefore, they cannot say "thank you" to their owner.

But four-legged friends are able to express gratitude in other ways.

And it's not just about your pet showing devotion and affection.

Dogs replace the word "thank you" with certain short actions. For example, licking a person.

There is another interesting “signal” - tail wagging.

Dog Gratitude and Tail Wagging

A dog clearly expresses gratitude to a person or joy from being near him if he wags his tail so that the movements are sweeping.

The wagging should be slow. This is how the dog expresses calmness and gratitude.

But if the movement is too fast, then the pet is clearly nervous.

An important point: slow, sweeping movements of the tail should be combined with a soft look straight into the owner’s eyes.

If a four-legged friend does not look at the owner or, on the contrary, looks at him too intently, then we are hardly talking about an expression of gratitude.
