But there is no need to turn to a fortune teller: here are 5 nuances that you should pay attention to in order to find out what a mongrel puppy will become when it grows up.
Look at the paws
If a puppy has small and thin paws, it means that the adult dog will be small or medium. And vice versa, large and massive paws indicate that the dog will grow up big.
Look at the folds on the body
Try to gather the puppy's skin into folds. If you can do this easily, it means that the dog has some "reserve" and its body will grow. But if the skin is dense or even slightly stretched, most likely the dog will not grow larger than average.
Assess the proportions of the body
The more proportional the puppy's body, the more likely it is to be small or medium. If the puppy has a large head, a wide chest and a massive pelvis, it will probably grow into a large and heavy dog.
Monitor the growth rate
If a puppy is growing rapidly, it should grow large: dogs gain about 75% of their weight in the first six months of their life.
Multiply the weight by 3
