The dog needs to be walked at least twice in 12 hours, which is connected with the need to take the pet to the toilet and release excess energy somewhere.
Cats are more independent in this regard, but you shouldn’t leave them alone for more than a day.
How to leave a cat alone for a long time
24 hours is not the limit that a cat can easily survive without a person and not even feel his absence.
1. This will be possible if you leave your pet a clean litter box before leaving, or even better, two.
2. It is essential to have a couple of containers with fresh water, which are placed in different places, and to replenish the food supply in the bowl.
3. Take care of your pet’s leisure time, rest and leave the opportunity to observe the world from the window.
As for the limits, a cat can survive in an apartment without its owner for no more than three days.
Exceeding this norm is fraught with consequences and can affect the pet’s psyche.
