The habit of feeding pets what they ask for can result in expensive treatment.
There is a myth that cats know what they can't eat. In fact, this is far from the truth.
It is unlikely that anyone would think of including these products in a cat's diet. But it is still worth knowing and remembering.
Sweets
Experts do not recommend giving cats sweets. It has long been proven that their receptors do not sense sweetness.
But desserts, and chocolate in particular, contain substances toxic to animals, such as theobromine. The critical dose for an animal is 20 mg.
Bones
The consequences may include problems with the gastrointestinal tract. Hard and sharp remains can damage the stomach walls.
Berries
Grapes, raisins and black currants have a negative effect on the kidneys.
Garlic and onion
These related plants can cause anemia in animals.
Mushrooms
The consequences are most unpleasant: animals begin to have diarrhea and problems with liver function arise.
Raw fish and meat
It is not the products themselves that are dangerous, but the parasites that live in them.
