What a dog owner shouldn't do: mistakes that have far-reaching consequences

The quality of life of any pet, including a dog, directly depends on the actions of its owner.

We invite you to familiarize yourself with the gross mistakes that dog owners can make in relation to their animals, so as not to make them in your own lives.

To fear is not the same as to respect

Unfortunately, many people still demonstrate to their dogs that they are the owners by raising their voices for no reason, yanking on the leash with all their might, and in other ways suppressing the dog's personality.

At the same time, all these actions only lead to a deterioration in the relationship between the animal and the owner - a sharp jerk on the leash can sometimes cause damage to the cervical vertebrae, and regular displays of force (without reason) will lead to the dog losing all respect for you.

Don't keep your dog in captivity

If your pet does not regularly receive the physical activity it needs, over time its muscle frame will lose tone, the dog will gain excess weight and develop joint ailments.

Walks outside are necessary not only for activity and natural needs, but also for socialization, which occurs through communication with other animals.

Don't generalize

During the training process, take into account, firstly, the breed characteristics, and secondly, the age of the animal.

You shouldn't treat a 10-year-old dog like a puppy and demand active games and long cross-country runs from it.

Be healthy!

If you find symptoms of a cold or any other illness in your pet, do not run to the pharmacy. More precisely, run, but not to a human one, but to a veterinary one: medicines intended for people can harm your pet.
