The dog is bored

Play with your pet. And do it daily: at least 15 minutes a day. And then your four-legged friend will not be bored.
The dog is in pain
The dog may have developed serious health problems.
Of course, the dog has no way to tell its owner about this. But the pet can start following the person.
If the “pursuit” is accompanied by whining, then the animal clearly needs to be shown to a veterinarian.
The dog wants to eat
It is possible that your pet just wants to eat something tasty.
