Foreign scientists have shared an interesting discovery. It turns out that cats are far from being the selfish creatures that the human imagination imagines them to be.

Many pets adopt behavioral characteristics and even character traits from their owners.

The scientists’ discovery seems to echo the old proverb: “Don’t blame the mirror if your face is crooked.”

The character of the pet is the character of the owner

Employees of one of the scientific institutions in the city of Helsinki conducted a study on how the personal qualities of the owner affect the pet.

As part of the scientific work, more than 2.7 thousand people were involved, who kept 2.5 thousand dogs and 788 cats.

Scientists were equally interested in people and their animals.

It turned out that individuals with an anxious attachment type, who spend most of their time with pets, keep fearful dogs.

Cats of such owners are usually hyperactive.

Scientists were also interested in the attachment-avoidant personality type.

These people try to keep to themselves and don’t even let pets into their personal space.

These animal breeders had both cats and dogs that were characterized by excessive aggressiveness.
