Why does a cat drink coffee and eat bread with mustard: these reasons explain the passion for non-specific food
Sometimes cat owners are surprised by the strange taste preferences of their pets, who chew chips or try pasta with ketchup in front of them.
Such products are not specific to cats, unlike meat, for example, and a wild forest cat would not come even a kilometer near them.
What drives pets to taste everything, including unfinished coffee left in a cup and mustard spread on a slice of bread?
The behavior of our pets can be explained by the following reasons.
1. Domestic cats lose some of their normal instincts, including caution.
2. Cats living at home often suffer from a lack of impressions and thus try to find at least some variety.
3. Pets take an example from us, their owners - if the person whom the cat considers its parent eats a certain product, then it can also eat it.
4. Finally, cats are forced to exist in a closed room with a limited choice of food. This means that the cat's diet is represented only by what is at home. Therefore, sometimes the cat does not even have the opportunity to choose, because it only has the products that its owner brought.
