Cats walk by themselves and where they want, and there is no need to prove anything to anyone. They are completely independent animals, except for food.
They see no barriers to their independence and can therefore walk around a variety of interior items in the house. These can be flowerpots and tables.
For a pet, there is no difference between a desk and a dining table, but it is possible to wean him off this habit.
Here are some humane ways.
1. Install a protective barrier using protective nets. However, this is not the most practical option, because the cat easily bypasses artificial obstacles.
2. Place objects on the table that do not attract the pet's attention. For example, you can put books or magazines on the table that will distract the cat's attention.
3. Use repellents. You can use sprays or aerosols, tape and cling film, and even a tube and brush from a vacuum cleaner.
4. Install a cat climbing box. You can buy a special climbing box that your cat can use for its needs.
5. Provide your cat with alternative play areas to distract her attention from the table.
Experience suggests that in this matter all family members should be unanimous. That is, everyone should chase the cat off the table, and not just one.
