Cleaning your aquarium is an important process that needs to be done for the health and well-being of your fish.
Below you will find a short instruction that will help you do everything correctly, but first prepare all the tools and materials that you may need: a bucket, a sponge, a glass scraper, a siphon, etc.
Glass cleaning
Use a glass scraper to remove all algae and dirt from the inside of the aquarium glass.
Siphoning of soil
Use a siphon to remove all dead plants, food debris, and fish waste from the aquarium substrate.
Water change
Replace 20-30% of the water in the aquarium with fresh water. Remember that the new water should be the same temperature as the water in the aquarium.
Adding chemicals
Add necessary chemicals such as anti-chlorine to remove chlorine from the water and bacteria to maintain the biological balance in the aquarium.
Cleaning the filter
Don't forget to clean your aquarium filter, removing all accumulated dirt.
The aquarium cleaning procedure should be repeated every 1-2 weeks.
