At what age is a cat considered old?
The first signs of aging in cats appear at about 8-9 years.
Upon reaching 11 years of age, a cat is already considered elderly; from 15 years of age, it is considered old.
How to care
First and foremost, try to leave your cat alone as little as possible, surround it with care and love, be patient.
Secondly, move the bed or house lower so that it is convenient for your pet to climb into it.
Thirdly, it is advisable to feed older cats with special food. All fatty foods should be excluded from the diet.
Food should be given in small portions, but more often. The diet should be changed gradually, any sudden changes are very stressful for an elderly cat.
You also need to make sure that your pet drinks enough water.
