The aging period in cats begins at about 7 years of age.
At 11 years old, a cat is already considered elderly, and at 15 – superannuated.
How long a cat will live depends, among other things, on its breed. For example, Persian cats live on average up to 20 years, while Siamese cats can live up to 30.
Regular visits to the veterinarian, a balanced diet, and physical activity will help prolong the life of your cat.
Sterilization also prolongs the life of a pet by approximately two to three years.
