Every cat owner has experienced the notorious “sudden bite” at least once.

There are several reasons for this contradictory behavior of the animal.

1. Anxiety

If a pet is upset, stressed or anxious, it may first lick its owner and then try its sharp teeth on him.

If you notice that your cat is depressed for a long time, do not hesitate and go to the vet.

2. Lack of freedom

Constant attention can bore a kitten - respect your pet's personal space and allow him/her privacy.

3. Invitation to play

Completely ignoring is also not the best option. If you are engrossed in your favorite book or spend too much time at the computer, the cat may hint that it needs attention by licking and biting.

Sometimes your pet may miss affection so much that he will bring his favorite toys to your feet.

4. Tenderness

As strange as it may sound, sometimes a sudden bite after a licking prelude indicates that the cat has tender feelings for you, appreciates your care and trusts you completely.
