Is it true that time flies faster with age: it's not scientific

Older people often say that time flies, days fly and their whole life flies by in an instant.

It is clear that the passage of time is a constant value and neither human age nor anything else can speed it up. That is, the statement is not scientific.

Foreign scientists found confirmation of this after conducting research on the topic of time and age.

An explanation of why this happens was published in the journal PLOS One.

The work was built in anticipation of two major religious holidays.

Thus, it was possible to find out that the passage of time and its acceleration depends on a number of factors.

The main one was said to be getting pleasure from the upcoming events.

In particular, respondents were asked to answer questions about how they were following the approach of Christmas (for Christians) and Ramadan (for Muslims)

It turned out that the feeling of time acceleration was felt by representatives of two different cultures.

Only those Britons with low social status complained about the accelerated approach of Christmas.

Similar circumstances while waiting for Ramadan were more often noted by young people and women.

In general, respondents began to experience the feeling of approaching holidays from the age of 18.

According to scientists, the phenomenon is associated with psychological factors.

Mainly responsible for the process of “accelerating” time are memory, attention and human emotions.

That is, a number of errors arise in memory, which is explained by the concentration of attention on time and the expectation of pleasure from the holiday.
