When their own knowledge and experience are lacking, people resort to the advice of others – friends, relatives, experts.
And this is normal practice. But it is absolutely unbearable to listen to advice that you did not ask for. Why do people do this?
There are only two options - either self-affirmation or an attempt to help. Experts explained why people love to give advice to others.
From a professional point of view, the habit of giving advice is explained by two reasons.
Firstly, it is a culture of communication, when a person believes that giving advice to a neighbor is in the order of things and does not see anything bad in it.
Secondly, the emotional state.
Most people don’t know one thing: other people’s advice ruins relationships.
They have a negative impact on self-esteem, attitude towards things, events, etc.
Therefore, experts see only an attempt at self-affirmation behind other people's advice. That is, the adviser is convinced of his knowledge, experience and feels like an expert.
The result is an illusion of power over someone, while in reality such behavior has the opposite effect.
