Women's collective: basic rules of survival in a serpentarium

30.03.2023 07:44

The phrase “women’s collective” has long been associated with an aquarium teeming with snakes.

The comparison with a serpentarium is probably due to the fact that the fair sex is much more attentive and intolerant of other people's shortcomings than men, so they do not forgive mistakes.

We won't figure out whether this is really true. Instead, here are some tips that will help you coexist peacefully with women and not become a victim of gossip and slander.

1. Prepare yourself in advance for unsolicited advice, unnecessary information, and even envy - if you are younger and more successful. Simply put, take on the role of a calm boa constrictor and live by the principle of "Smile and wave."

2. Don't reveal details of your personal life. Also, keep your mouth shut if you have problems.

3. Try not to isolate yourself, but you shouldn’t go to the other extreme of creating coalitions with colleagues who are loyal to you – you need to try to be on equal terms with everyone.

4. If you happen to witness gossip or rumors being spread, demonstrate that you do not wish to become a participant in such conversations. Do not lecture – simply retreat to your work area.

5. Try not to stand out at work - this rule is especially relevant in the first weeks at a new place and applies to bright accessories, provocative makeup and inappropriate outfits, as well as excessive zeal.
