The Minsk authorities announced their intention to actively identify the category of citizens who have “constant, significant income.”

Residents of the Belarusian capital who are not officially employed should be concerned.

The details were announced at a meeting of the city administration dedicated to the implementation of Decree No. 3 by the city mayor, Vladimir Kukharev.

The press service of the Minsk City Executive Committee reported this on its official Telegram channel.

It is said that the mayor initiated the development of new approaches if necessary.

Such approaches, according to him, should “involve unemployed citizens in work activities to the maximum extent possible.”

This category of Belarusians is popularly called “parasites”.

Officially they are called unemployed in the economy. Decree No. 3 is about them.

There are categories of people who are not officially employed, but, as analysis shows, have a steady, serious income, said Kukharev.

He also drew attention to the fact that these citizens “continue to receive benefits and enjoy social benefits.”

In connection with the current situation, the city mayor called for “intensifying efforts to identify cases of hidden employment.”

He also stated the need to respond appropriately to such facts – “within the framework of current legislation.”
