On September 22, the Hugo Chavez Park in Minsk will host the Car-Free Day celebration, which will conclude the Mobility Week.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection explained how the holiday will take place.
As reported by BELTA with reference to the Ministry of Natural Resources, from 13:00 to 20:00, environmental sites in various directions will operate, and from 16:00 after the grand opening, a concert and entertainment program is planned.
Guests of the festival will also enjoy: an exhibition of electric transport, competitions, quests, quizzes, master classes, a petting zoo, demonstration performances by roller skaters, parkour athletes and B-Mer riders.
You will be able to learn how to drive personal mobility devices and figure riding a bicycle, buy eco-products and eco-goods, and do face painting.
In addition, guests of the festival will be introduced to the educational projects "Ecodar", "Green Schools" and "Green Classes of the Belarusian Capital".
The festival will end with a race with illuminated environmentally friendly types of transport.
The race will start at 20:00 and will take place along the route Kazimirovskaya Street – Kamennogorskaya Street – Lyutsinskaya Street – Kolesnikova Street.
Mobility Week began on September 16. The goal of the campaign is to remind people about the negative impact of cars on the environment and the importance of reducing emissions into the atmosphere.
