Certain phrases that your partner uses in communication may indicate an attempt at manipulation.
It should not be ruled out that this is done unconsciously. But it is important to remember that such relationships lead to the victim of manipulation developing depression.
Psychologist Natalia Krakovtseva told the publication " Doctor Peter " what behavior reveals a manipulator and what to do after you understand your partner's intentions.
First, pay attention to the feelings that arise in your communication with such a person.
A feeling of guilt should be a warning sign, especially if you haven’t done anything wrong.
Or you may feel like your feelings don't matter, that you're exaggerating or being overly emotional.
Secondly, the conversation may include words and phrases in which the partner convinces that he does everything “for you,” but you do not appreciate him, let him down, do not hear him.
He may reproach you for being selfish and “thinking only about yourself,” for being afraid, while a “normal person” would have long ago agreed to what is offered to you.
And in the end they may say that you still didn’t understand anything.
The most important thing in such a case is to believe in your strength, feelings and not doubt the decision you made.
A person simply cannot feel “wrong,” the expert insists.
When in doubt, you need to ask yourself whether you want what is being imposed on you and whether the imposed solution really corresponds to your choice.
