If a woman or a man meets, but they never get around to starting a family, no matter how much they want to, society talks about a celibacy crown.
But experts are not satisfied with this option. They know what really prevents people from starting a family.
From a psychiatric point of view, the inability to build relationships and get married is not connected with mystical reasons, but with the characteristics of the person’s character, said psychiatrist and sexologist Alexey Vilkov in an interview with Izvestia .
It is not the crown of celibacy, but pronounced schizoid traits that prevent a person from building a family.
This could be isolation, unsociability, unwillingness to communicate with others.
As a result, the person pushes away others and at the same time does not make any attempts to build relationships.
The most serious obstacle in this case is the presence of hysterical traits.
This is “excessive infantilism, excessively high demands on a partner and others, as well as intolerance of other people’s shortcomings.”
Moreover, such people are constantly searching for an ideal that does not exist in reality.
All these qualities form in such a person a special attitude towards finding a partner.
At the same time, in youth, many people are little concerned about the prospect of being left alone. But with age, the problem reminds of itself with every lost chance to create a family.
