Everyone has heard about psychological trauma. This concept is relatively clear, but still broad.
It occurs as a result of a stressful impact that turned out to be too strong for the psyche of a particular person. When the event itself is experienced, the individual will not be like himself, his behavior will definitely change at least for a while.
Such changes will indicate that psychological trauma has been received, that something has not passed without a trace. It is possible to specify the main ones.
After experiencing stress, a person will feel vulnerable. He will remember the experience when he could not cope, and will be afraid of its repetition.
He may also remember that he made attempts to influence the situation, that they did not lead to anything good. As a result, he will stop believing in the justice of the world, and will decide that he will have to suffer for the rest of his life.
This reaction can also be observed in severe stress. The individual will not believe what happened, what he witnessed.
He will deny what happened, he will insist that nothing happened. This will be an attempt to protect himself, to shield himself from negativity.
It will be difficult for a person to collect his thoughts after stress. He will be in a state of prostration, it will be difficult for him to concentrate, to get down to business.
Even if he does solve some problems, even if he shows initiative, he will make a lot of mistakes. The reason for this will be inattention.
They will not be caused by anything, there will be no visible reasons for them. A person will become irritable, then cheerful, will be eager to join society, then will isolate himself from others.
From time to time he will fall into a rage, he will get angry, and sometimes he will smile inappropriately. All this indicates that the stress was experienced, that its consequences remain.
Such symptoms should not be overlooked. They indicate serious changes in the psychological state, about the trauma experienced. And all this should be worked on.
