In Belarus, villains from a neighboring country were caught. Red-handed. They were preparing to distribute a batch of psychotropic substances brought from Russia.
Three young criminals (aged 19 to 22) were detained by drug enforcement officers of the Gomel region with the forceful support of the Vitebsk OMON fighters.
The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus reported this on its official Telegram channel.
Law enforcement officers found out that the trio delivered a wholesale batch of psychotropic substances from Russia to the republic with the aim of selling illegal dangerous goods.
It was packaged in a rented apartment in Mogilev and then distributed through drop boxes in the Mogilev and Vitebsk regions.
The criminal trio worked for the drug market for about two weeks.
More than 200 grams of the particularly dangerous psychotropic substance “Alpha-PVP” were found and confiscated at the place of residence and in hiding places of those detained.
Criminal cases have been opened on the fact of illegal drug trafficking for the purpose of sale.
The detained foreigners face up to 15 years in prison for their actions, the ministry noted.
