Four cars collided. Unfortunately, there were casualties - a six-month-old child was injured.
The press service of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee's Internal Affairs Directorate reported the incident, noting that the incident took place at approximately 1:55 p.m.
At the specified time, a Hyundai car driven by a 72-year-old driver was driving along Poleskaya Street.
The car was moving from B. Khmelnitsky Street in the direction of Kirov Street.
At some point, the pensioner drove into the oncoming traffic lane, where he collided with a Seat driven by a 59-year-old driver and a Volkswagen driven by a 52-year-old driver.
The impact threw the "German" into a passing Dong Feng car driven by a 58-year-old driver.
As a result of the accident, a six-month-old baby, a passenger in the Volkswagen, was injured.
It is known that he was transported without a child restraint system, in the arms of his grandmother.
The injured child was taken to hospital, the regional department noted.
