During the cold season, some experienced gardeners hang empty plastic bags on trees in the garden.
An action that is initially perceived as stupid and useless may end up being quite effective.
The thing is that the bags rustle in the wind. The resulting sound, oddly enough, brings enormous benefits.
Thus, uninvited “guests” of the country house begin to get scared.
Be aware: garden crops are in great danger. The long-eared ones are unlikely to ignore the trees growing on the site.
However, it is possible to protect plants. To do this, you need to fence off the area, and at the same time cover or wrap the tree trunks with some kind of protective material.
There is another interesting strategy: you can simply scare away uninvited “guests” of your country house.
You can use specific smelling agents (for example, tar-based ointment or naphthalene). A smell should appear that hares do not like.
But perhaps the simplest and cheapest way to deal with eared ones is to use plastic bags.
The bags will act as sound repellents. On a windy day, the bags hanging on the plants will make a rustling sound.
This sound will scare away the hares. As a result, the plants will remain untouched.
