It takes gardeners years to prepare an effective and, most importantly, free fertilizer – compost.
All this time, the inquisitive mind of the gardener does not abandon the idea of speeding up the process. They say that the solution has been found.
With the help of folk ingenuity, any summer resident can get the coveted fertilizer almost twice as fast.
1. It is important to understand that much depends on the filling of the compost pit. In order not to delay the result, it is recommended to use plant tops, fallen fruits and mown grass.
Denser materials such as corn cobs or twigs take longer to process.
After this, the future fertilizer must be watered with a urea solution - 100-200 g per 10 liters of water and cover the hole or pile with dark film.
After 2-3 weeks, pour in the same solution again. This way, the fertilizer can “cook” in six months or a year.
2. You can speed up the process by adding biopreparations that contain lactic-yeast bacteria, hay bacillus or trichoderma.
3. It is also important to remember that you can get fertilizer faster if you fill the composter in mid-spring.
In this case, using the listed means, it will be possible to collect fertilizer at the end of the season or at the beginning of the next one.
